Dr. Ahsan Ejaz is a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Nuclear Science and Technology, Lanzhou University, China, and an assistant professor in the physics department at the University of Kotli, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan. His work focuses on corrosion, cracking, and high-temperature irradiation in nuclear materials induced by hydrogen. Examining mechanisms including passivity, passive film stability, and surface layer dynamics, he focuses on the corrosion initiation of advanced alloys, such as copper, nickel, zirconium, aluminium, stainless steel, and tooling alloys. A valuable candidate for the Editorial Board of the KOS Journal of Science and Engineering, Dr. Ejaz uses a variety of cutting-edge techniques, such as TEM, SEM, XPS, AFM, nanoindentation, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), local probing methods, surface analysis, and microscopy, to enhance understanding of material behaviour under extreme conditions.
