Dr. Durgesh Ranjan Kar is a distinguished academician and pharmacology expert with over two decades of teaching and administrative experience in pharmaceutical education. He is currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at BCDA College of Pharmacy & Technology (Campus-2), Kolkata, affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences, since July 2023. Dr. Kar has previously held several senior academic positions, including Professor and Head of Department at Global College of Pharmaceutical Technology, Krishnagar, and at Bengal School of Technology, Hooghly, where he played a key role in academic leadership and departmental development. Earlier in his career, he served as an Assistant Professor at prestigious institutions such as Techno India University, Calcutta Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology, and Guru Nanak Institute of Pharmaceutical Science & Technology, contributing significantly to teaching and research in pharmacology. Dr. Kar began his teaching journey as a Lecturer at Kanak Manjari Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and later at The Pharmaceutical College, Odisha, under the Biju Patnaik University of Technology. With a solid foundation in pharmacological sciences, Dr. Kar has built a career marked by academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to advancing pharmaceutical education in India.
