Dr. Muhamad Junaid is an accomplished physicist and nanotechnology researcher with over a decade of academic and research experience. He currently serves as an Assistant Professor at City University, Multan, where he actively teaches, mentors graduate students, and leads research in advanced materials, nanotechnology, and photocatalysis for sustainable energy applications. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, with a strong academic background in nanotechnology and material sciences. His research focuses on the development of photocatalysts for CO₂ reduction, water splitting, and organic pollutant degradation. Dr. Junaid has extensive experience in the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials, metal oxides, and graphene-based materials using advanced techniques such as PVD, sol-gel, hydrothermal, and co-precipitation methods. Dr. Junaid has authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications, with 19 as the first or second author in high-impact journals including International Journal of Hydrogen Energy, Inorganic Chemistry Communications, and Chemical Physics Letters. He has also published two academic books and has received over 300 citations for his contributions to the field. In addition to his academic achievements, Dr. Junaid is an editorial board member and reviewer for numerous international journals such as Scientific Reports (Springer Nature), Chemical Physics Letters, and the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy. He has participated in multiple international conferences and symposia related to materials science, energy storage, and nanotechnology. Dr. Junaid has also supervised M.Phil. and Ph.D. research projects focused on biosensors, bandgap engineering, and energy materials. His technical skills include working with advanced characterization tools like XRD, UV-Vis, FTIR, SEM, TEM, FESEM, XPS, and electrochemical analyzers.
