Between Crisis and Renewal in the 21st Century

Authors: Julian Ungar-Sargon, MD, PhD*

Abstract: This article examines the contemporary challenges and opportunities facing Judaism as it navigates the complexities of the 21st century. Drawing on recent warnings from public intellectuals like Yuval Noah Harari about a potential "spiritual catastrophe" in Judaism, this study integrates perspectives from modern Jewish philosophy, mystical theology, demographic trends, and emerging forms of Jewish identity. The analysis reveals that Judaism stands at a critical juncture where traditional categories of belonging are being redefined while core ethical and spiritual commitments face both internal and external pressures.

Authors: Faisal Muzaffar, Ifra Mehmood, Bisma Ilyas, Muhammad Moosa Qureshi, Muhammad Talha Asghar and Fatima Faisal*

Abstract: Background: Transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy (ATTR-CM) is an under recognized cause of restrictive cardiomyopathy, resulting from the misfolding and extracellular deposition of transthyretin (TTR) protein in myocardial tissue. Both hereditary (hATTR) and wild-type (wtATTR) forms contribute to progressive heart failure and substantial morbidity, particularly in older adults.

Therapeutic Role of Sacubitril/Valsartan after Myocardial Infarction: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Authors: Muhammad Aqib Faizan, Tooba Rehman, Saher Bano, Aliza Jamshid, Rabia Nawaz, Abdul Basit Khan, Hamza Sardar, Ahmad Mustafa, Khalid and Muneeb ullah Khan

Abstract: Background: Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) is among the most common causes of morbidity and mortality. Although there is contradictory data about sacubitril/valsartan's clinical efficacy and safety, it may lower the risk of AMI. The focus of this research is to carefully analyse and summarise data from randomised controlled trials (RCTs) to ascertain whether early sacubitril/valsartan treatment after AMI is safe and efficacious.

The Role of Artificial Intelligence in the Early Detection of Alzheimer's Disease

Authors: Mohamed Atef Mohamed Moselhy Elasalouty*

Abstract: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is one of the most prevalent causes of dementia worldwide, with incidence rising alongside aging populations. Early detection is critical, as it enables timely intervention, slows progression, and improves quality of life. In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has demonstrated remarkable potential in identifying early signs of AD through neuroimaging, speech and language analysis, and predictive modeling. This review summarizes the current applications of AI in these domains, highlights the challenges limiting its integration into clinical practice, and discusses future perspectives for AI driven diagnostics.

Sustainable Health Data Systems Using Machine Learning and Human Computer Interaction for Public Health Decision-Making

Authors: Idowu Olugbenga Adewumi* and Sarah Adanini

Abstract: Health emergencies like COVID-19 highlighted the critical requirement for sustainable health data systems that integrate predictive analytics with human-focused decision support. This research creates a unified framework that combines machine learning (ML) forecasting with collaborative human-computer interaction (HCI) dashboards to enhance public health decision-making. We created a large synthetic dataset consisting of 165,000 patient health records, 42,000 mobility trajectories, and 18,500 indicators of social determinants sourced from WHO, CDC, and three national health organizations.

The Evolution of Financial Decision Support Systems: From BI Dashboards to Predictive Analytics

Authors: Anirudh Parupalli*

Abstract: Decision Support Systems (DSS) are rooted back in the pre-personal computing era, as they developed out of the earlier Decision Management System to become interactive, computer-based tools in semi-structured and unstructured decision-making. The DSS developed over time with four generations: data-centric, interface-focused, model-oriented, and web-based, which denotes the changes in technologies and the extension of its use across various fields of knowledge. Financially, globalization, market volatility and newer technologies have placed an added premium on the importance of intelligent data-driven decisioning. Leading Financially-oriented Decision Support Systems (FDSS) combine predictive analytics and Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards and machine learning to distil operational insights using a wide variety of data.
