Dr. Ibrahim Saleh received the M.D. degree from Alexandria University School of Medicine, Alexandria, Egypt, in 2022, where he also received training in ophthalmology. He is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore, MD, USA. He previously worked as a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern and held an affiliate postdoctoral researcher position in the Department of Bioengineering and Material Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas. He has authored fifteen peer-reviewed publications, and his research interests include developing machine learning approaches for detection of diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and glaucoma and studying the underling mechanisms of eye diseases using animal models. Additionally, he serves as a peer reviewer for prestigious academic journals. Dr. Saleh was awarded the Excellence with Honor Certificate from Alexandria University School of Medicine in 2022. He is a member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO), the largest community of eye and vision researchers in the world.
