Dr. Constantinos Karamalis holds a degree in Public Health from the School of Public Health at the University of West Attica and a degree in Biotechnology from the School of Applied Biology & Biotechnology at Agricultural University of Athens. Moreover, he has a Master's Degree in Public Health specialized in Infectious Diseases and Public Health Laboratories from the Department of Public Health Policy at the University of West Attica. During his professional experience at the National Meningitis Reference Centre, he gained hands-on experience in microbiological analysis, molecular epidemiology of infectious diseases, and molecular diagnostic techniques. His main research interests include applications of omics technologies in public health and the molecular epidemiology of infectious diseases. He is a co-founding member and member of the Board of Directors of the Cancer Prevention Research Group in Greece (CPRGGreece), with responsibilities related to Public, Community and Environmental Health. Additionally, he is a member of the scientific society Society for Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology (SIMB).
