Dr. Yuichi Hashimoto, Ph.D. is a medical and pharmacological researcher with over three decades of experience in pharmacology, sports medicine, and aging-related diseases. He currently serves as Medical and Pharmacological Principal Investigator at the President Secretary Office of Toa Industry Co., Ltd., and is a member of the Non-Nicotine Promotion Organization. Dr. Hashimoto earned his Ph.D. in Medicine from Juntendo University after completing his undergraduate and master's degrees in health and sports sciences. He has held research and academic positions at prestigious institutions including the University of Tokyo, Keio University School of Medicine, and Tokyo Medical University, where he served as Assistant Professor for nearly 16 years. His research focuses on the toxicological effects of nicotine, environmental health, mitochondrial biology, and the development of therapeutic strategies for neurodegenerative and rare aging-related diseases such as progeria and Werner syndrome. He is particularly interested in non-immune-based approaches for disease treatment and the role of mitochondria-derived peptides in conditions like sarcopenia and diabetes.
